With Josef Lentner GmbH Firefighting and Rescue vehicles as a launch client, we are pleased to showcase our first fully immersive Virtual Reality training scenario.
You are the driver / operator of a HLF20 Rescue Engine ("Hilfeleistungslöschgruppenfahrzeug") and your task is to get the pump operational and get water and foam on the fire as soon as possible.
Using a Meta Quest, you are using a "real life" to-scale model of the pump, and have to go through the process to fulfil your task. There are three modes, either with guided steps or totally stand alone.
Currently a demo version with simple functionality, this nonetheless works particularly well for easy and meaningful training. Particular attention was given to Audio design as well as creating a VR environment that avoids motion sickness.
VR Simulation 1 - get some water from the tank to the distributor:
Scenario 2: Use the fast attack line with a 0,5% Class A foam mixture to put out the car fire:

Heavy Rescue Danmark Virtual Reality combines together years of practical experience in the field of firefighting and technical rescue, training and teaching, as well as video / VR production.
VR does not replace real life training - done right, it makes it much more efficient.
